    A clean surface shows the problems: hairline cracks, chalky paint, porous concrete, loose tile and efflorescence.

Per the manufacturer, SEAL-KRETE products are designed to:

  • Protect vertical concrete and masonry, including stucco, block and brick, against moisture penetration (Original Waterproofing Primer/Sealer)
  • Bind chalky surfaces to improve paint adhesion, and act as a primer on painted and unpainted surfaces
  • Rejuvenate color on older painted surfaces such as aged stucco, strengthen mortar joints and reduce efflorescence on brick
  • Reduce mold and mildew growth (Original data sheet), with clear penetrating sealers rated to resist UV, salt, mold and mildew
  • Seal porous concrete, pavers, brick, unglazed tile and terra cotta with invisible, water-repellent protection (Dry-Look and SS-10 clear sealers)

Warranty per the manufacturer: SEAL-KRETE lists a limited 5-year warranty on Original and Heavy-Duty Waterproofer, available on a per-job basis through its technical service department. It covers product replacement or refund, not labor. Ask us about the details for your project.

Once the surface is clean, sound and sealed, the finish coat goes on over a solid foundation, which helps the color stay crisp in the Florida sun and rain.

About SEAL-KRETE

Founded in Florida, SEAL-KRETE later became part of Clayton Corporation and joined Rust-Oleum, an RPM International company, in 2016. When Rust-Oleum announced the acquisition, it described SEAL-KRETE as having been “the professional choice in weatherproofing protection for concrete and masonry” for more than 30 years.

Waterproofing vs. repairing

Sealing a small problem now beats fixing a big one later.

Hairline cracks, chalky paint, porous concrete and loose tile are easy to miss until a pressure wash exposes them. Left alone, they let water in, and water is what leads to rot, mold, spalling concrete and damaged finishes. Sealing those weak points while we're already there costs far less than repairing water damage down the road.

About tile: we clean and seal tile surfaces. If a roof needs repairs that require a licensed roofing contractor, that work is handled according to Florida requirements.
